No professional photography experience is required. Veterans of all skill levels are encouraged to attend\, whether they are using professional cameras or simply a smartphone. The focus is on community\, storytelling through images\, and supporting one another.

Veterans\, military families\, and community supporters are invited to enjoy a relaxing morning hike along the Duke Kimbrell Trail and Stowe Connector near Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont\, NC.\n\nThis 4–4.5 mile hike is a great opportunity to connect with fellow veterans\, build community\, and spend time outdoors enjoying the natural beauty of the region. Service animals and well-behaved dogs are welcome.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to wear comfortable hiking clothes and sturdy closed-toe shoes. Please bring water\, snacks\, and sun protection as needed. First aid supplies\, bug spray\, and sunscreen will be available onsite. DESCRIPTION:Veteran Photography Group Metrolina is a community-based initiative designed to connect veterans through photography\, creativity\, and shared experience. The group provides a relaxed environment where veterans can learn photography skills\, explore the local area\, and build camaraderie with other veterans in the Metrolina region. Participants will have the opportunity to practice photography techniques\, share tips and experiences\, and document local landscapes\, architecture\, and community life. The project emphasizes connection\, mental wellness\, and creative expression\, offering veterans a constructive outlet while strengthening peer relationships. No professional photography experience is required. Veterans of all skill levels are encouraged to attend\, whether they are using professional cameras or simply a smartphone. The focus is on community\, storytelling through images\, and supporting one another.
