FIRST:  Why Qualified Veterans Aren’t Getting the Initial Call & What to Do About It

You told us that one of the biggest challenges in your job search is being qualified for the role, yet never getting that initial call from a recruiter. This workshop was built directly from that feedback.

Join Emily Farello of Mindful Career Journey for a practical, interactive workshop focused on what happens between submitting an application and getting the call. We’ll look at how ATS and AI factor into the hiring process, why simply adding more keywords may not be the answer, and what could be getting in the way of your resume getting noticed.

We’ll also focus on translating your military experience into capabilities, results, and language employers understand, and creating a clearer professional story across your resume, LinkedIn profile, networking, and interviews.

Come prepared to participate, think differently about how you present your experience, and leave with practical steps you can apply to your job search right away. With time permitting, we’ll also review real resume examples, including potentially one of yours.
