Melinda joined Veterans Bridge Home in May of 2023. She attended UNC Pembroke, graduating with a Master of Social Work in 2016. Melinda is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS).

Prior to becoming a social worker, Melinda served as a Field Artillery Surveyor (82C/ 13S) in the United States Army from 1996-2016. Duty stations include Baumholder, Germany, Fort Sill, OK, Fort Bragg, NC, and Richmond, VA out of Beckley Recruiting Battalion, where she served as a detailed recruiter. Melinda's deployments include two tours in Bosnia and one tour in Iraq.

Melinda is a mother of three and lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband, who is also Army retired. In addition to her MSW, she holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management.
