Board Member

Russ Major is the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Officer for USAA. He is responsible for building TPRM program, developing compliant, effective processes that ensure the risks of utilizing third parties are managed appropriately.

Russ has 14 years of experience in financial services, specifically within procurement and TPRM roles. He developed and led the TPRM program at Bank of America and last served as their procurement executive for Global Technology and Operations. Russ's leadership experience in TPRM includes sourcing for frontline teams, vendor processing and technology, and internal controls. Russ also spent several years in manufacturing and sales after transitioning out of the Air Force where he proudly served for nine years on active duty.

Russ graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in Science and Engineering. He also earned a master's degree in Logistics Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
