William Wilkinson

William Wilkinson joined Veterans Bridge Home in May 2023. Prior to joining the VBH team, William worked for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist as a Care Coordinator with Trauma services. Preceding his work at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, he managed the Operation Resiliency Program with The Independence Fund and provided individual counseling as Clinical Social Worker while pursuing his licensure.



William has served in both the United States Marine Corps and The United States Army were his was medically retired in 2014. During his 12 years of military service as an infantry soldier, he deployed three times in support of combat operations to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

After retiring from military service William earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Upon earning his BSW, he was accepted into the Master of Social Work, Advance Standing Program, and received the 2019 Outstanding MSW Graduate Award.
